
The Cognitive Lab: Strengthening Predictive Processing

Skilled interpreters constantly anticipate where messages are headed, using context, discourse patterns, background knowledge, and linguistic cues to reduce cognitive effort and support more accurate interpretatior This workshop explores how predictive processing strengthens comprehension, improves decision-making, and allows interpreters to allocate cognitive resources more efficiently. Participants will practice recognizing discourse patterns, anticipating meaning, and making intentional interpreting choices under time pressure.
This workshop will be presented in spoken English.
