CREATING THE MAP: REFERENCING

Presented by: Colleen Roy, NIC & Taralynn Petrites, Ph. D.

Join us for this five-session interactive series exploring how intentional use of space, referencing, and message organization can create clearer, more cohesive interpretations in ASL. Participants will build skills in spatial mapping, the Rules of Reality, whole-message interpreting, and maintaining message threads while moving from concrete to increasingly abstract concepts. Through guided practice, video analysis, discussion, and reflection, interpreters will learn to create the map that helps
connect the whole message. This series is designed as a progressive learning experience. Each session builds upon concepts and skills introduced in the previous
session. You must attend all sessions to receive credit.

This series will be presented in ASL.
